Making a Real Impact

The Santa Cruz Empty Home Tax project is a community driven ballot initiative to increase affordable housing options in the city of Santa Cruz by creating a long-term funding stream to create affordable housing.

Funding Affordable Housing

Revenue generated from the Empty Home Tax will be stored in a special fund that can only be used to develop the kind of housing we need most that is for extremely low, very low, low income.

A Santa Cruz for All

We are focused on helping provide solutions to ensure that our teachers, services workers and everyone that helps make Santa Cruz great can afford to live here and thrive.
